Awards

The CRMEC co-ordinates the regional nominations for the national CPMEC awards. Award nominations commence in April each year and are open for JMOs and Clinical Educators.  Winners are announced at the Australia and New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum.

JMO of the Year

Do you know a JMO who has made an exceptional contribution to teaching and learning as a prevocational trainee?  Maybe you have noticed a local JMO making special contributions to education and training such as project work, publications, posters, presentations to the international, national and State conferences.  Keep that person in mind for nomination for a local or national award as JMOs of the Year!

Nominations are reviewed by the Canberra Region Medical Education Council (CRMEC) and an applicant is selected as the ACT JMO of the Year.  This award is recognised in the local region. Regional winners are forwarded to Confederation of Postgraduate Medical Education Council (CPMEC) to be selected as finalists for the National JMO of the Year. Winners are announced annually at the ANZPMEF Conference.

Nominations are closed for 2023. Nominations for 2024 will open in approximately April 2024. Watch this space!

Clinical Educator of the Year

Have you had excellent education and training from a doctor in the ACT?  Why not nominate that person for a local or national award to recognise their excellence?

Please consider nominating a clinical educator for Clinical Educator of the Year.  Nominations are reviewed by the Canberra Regional Medical Education Council (CRMEC) and an applicant is selected as the ACT Clinical Educator of the Year.  This award is recognised in the location region. Regional winners are forward to the Confederation of Postgraduate Medical Education Council (CPMEC) to be selected as finalists for the National Clinical Education of the Year.  Winners are announced annually at the ANZPMEF Conference.
